I spent nearly a decade in corporate making good money and feeling empty. On paper I was winning. In real life I was stuck, and I knew God had something bigger for me. So I know this feeling, and I know the answer is rarely a giant leap on day one. Here is what I would do in the first week.
Day 1: Say it out loud
Write down, in one honest sentence, what feels stuck. Not "everything." Pick the real thing: the job, the business, the money, the direction. You cannot fix a fog.
Day 2: Separate tired from stuck
Tired means you need rest. Stuck means rest does not help. If you are exhausted, sleep, eat and take a real day off first. If you feel the same after rest, it is stuck.
Day 3: Write what you actually want
Not what looks good or what people expect. Write three things you want in the next year. If you cannot name them, that is the first thing to work on.
Day 4: Find the smallest next step
Pick one thing for each goal that takes under an hour. A call, an email, a draft, a question to someone who has done it. Small steps break the freeze.
Day 5: Talk to someone
Stuck gets worse alone. Talk to someone honest who wants the best for you. If anxiety or heaviness is part of it, I will say this plainly: therapy helped me, and so did my faith. It took both. A strategy session is not therapy, and if you are struggling, please talk to a licensed professional.
Day 6: Cut one thing
Drop one thing that drains you and does not move you forward. A commitment, a habit or a client you dread. Make room before adding more.
Day 7: Pick one move and date it
Choose one step from Day 4 and put it on your calendar. A plan without a date is just a wish.
One more thing
If your story feels like it disqualifies you, remember mine. My mom had me at 14, never went to high school, and built multiple businesses anyway. You are not too late and you are not too far behind.
Quick answers
How do I know if I need a coach or a therapist?
If you are dealing with anxiety, depression or past trauma, talk to a licensed therapist. Strategy sessions help with direction, decisions and next steps, and they are not therapy or medical advice.
Do you work with men and women?
Yes. Lola works with men and women. Her personal growth sessions lean toward women who feel stuck, and her business sessions are for any founder or business owner.
